Dave you are quite correct< the 404 Jeffery conjures up a era from the past that will never be again....as you have described it. with our consumer society today and new technology the 404 Jeffery magic is something of the past...it is only a few old die-hards who tries to linger a little while longer.....making memories with he old 404 Jeffery hunting rifles we still own and use for hunting every year...I am fortunate to maybe have some year or more left to take my old 1931 build 404 Jeffery for another hunt while I can

My Lani, the second last 404 Jeffery was just sold this afternoon...there are one left ,let me know if your friend are interested, the only requirement is that the person who wants to buy the 404 Jeffery needs to come and shoot it first ...DSC02694.jpg

    Thanks Gert.
Will send a message. The person looking for one lives on a farm just outside of Willowmore in the Eastern Cape, so it is a fair drive there

MyLany, cellnr: 0842062257, godendaal@hotmail.com let us see if this will work now...I will be glad to be of assistance ...another of the 404 Jeffery rifles was sold last week, it is absolutely great to see young hunters/student PH `s are purchasing the 404 Jeffery caliber rifles..as Dr.Kevin Robertson pointed out " To me the 404 Jeffery shooting a 450 gn cup and core bullet at 2200 ft/s is the perfect combination for buffalo hunting"
I believe this combination will deliver excellent results using solids on an elephant as well???

3 years after starting this thread and at last I did it.

Became the owner of a 404 Jeffery rifle. License application to be handed in this week I hope.

I bet Gert will approve of my choice.
