    Beautiful image.

I wonder what their "range" is. Reason being I saw a pair at my BIL quite regularly over Christmas, about 25km outside of Colesberg towards Norvalspond on the R58, and given I know very little about birds it got me wondering what the odds are that it is the same bird?

Nice pic, reminds one again that Fish Eagles don't just eat fish, bit just fish as well! They're surpringly common around the local suburban areas, of course nesting in the mountains. One often hear their calls here in Somerset West, as well as in StBosch.

Will the cheetah return to the kill?

This blesbuck was killed by a female with two 3/4 grown cubs. They scarf a blesbuck down in one sitting, so they do not return. I was brought up believing that a cheetah will never scavenge or return to a kill. I have seen this female do both, but she was reared in captivity, so maybe a wild born cheetah will not.

There are several pairs breeding on the reserve. We are about 70km's from Norvalspont. I'm really not sure how far they will range.

Does the program 50/50 still exist? Is there still a photo entry segment?

I reckon you can send in a few photos with all the interesting stuff you post.

Nice one. In several years of using carcasses in the baiting of Bush pig,i have never seen a Fish Eagle scavenging.

I have only seen it twice. Black (Verreaux's) eagles on the other hand scavenge all the time.
