Sped off to make a plan.

I thought of sticking it in a pot plant, but they were all to exposed and it'd be obvious I was up to something.

Thought I'd have a look in the bog, see my options.

The flush plate was loose, I looked under that. There was plenty of space but the thing was too loose and would likely fall down when being cleaned. No go.

Felt around under the seat area for a recess- not much happening there either.

Eventually, at around the 4 o'clock position, there was a recessed lip. I could just squeeze the knife in there, luckily it was tight so I could cram it in and wedge it good and tight. Casual cleaning wouldn't get to it, and a more intense clean would need to actually pull quite hard to get it out.

So, I left it there. Back through security, no problem.

A week later, on my return it was still there.

    Bonsela.

Any other ideas of where to stash something if needed?
You are not the first to use this hiding place. I have often thought it a good place to go shopping.

My blunt nose scissor and Mosquito clamp in my IFAK cost me R415 last week.... I told the security officer to confiscate it and let me be, but his Supervisor insisted I have my Backpack (Carry luggage) checked in. I was ignorant and did not think adding another bag would be this expensive. Otherwise I would've dumped the two scissors and checked in again. Ironically they didn't pick up my Wallet Ninja the first time, so they confiscated it the second time. I really did forget about it. On my return flight I placed my IFAK in my large bag and all was Hakuna Matata.

True. That's why I didn't use the flush panel.

    Too obvious.

I wonder which of the cleaners have cottoned on to these and other hidey-holes
