PDX1 vs Ranger in 147gr in 9mm
I have both the Winchester PDX1 and Rangers in 147gr. I am looking to find out which is a better EDC round for my Glock43. Based on what I have read so far on there two Wincheser products, there seems to be little between the rounds except that the PDX 1 is bonded. Does the PDX1 out perform the Ranger thus justifying the way higher price tag?

Re: PDX1 vs Ranger in 147gr in 9mm
Im following this with interest, I bought Federal HST 124 Gn but still choose to carry my Winchester Rangers 147 Gn because of the extra weight. (Federal cost nearly double of what the win cost)

I have no experience with the PDX1, but the 147gr Rangers function flawlessly in my 43, I have also tested penetration and weight retention in flesh (Giraffe hind quarter) and posted the results somewhere here, I carry the Rangers with confidence.

Search “lucky gunner ballistic tests” on google. They’ve tested a whole bunch of different ammo and you can compare them on their site.

Get the cheaper 147gr Rangers and function test them (at least 50 round) to ensure they feed reliably.

With the current quality control issues on the rangers, I would steer clear.

Re: PDX1 vs Ranger in 147gr in 9mm
I have function tested both 147's in my 17, no issues with either one.
Through the chrony the Rangers-T's ran about 40fps faster than the PDX1`s.
Because of the above I decided to carry both. Mag in gun loaded with PDX1, spare mag loaded with Ranger-T's.
