Wanted to extend a huge word of thanks to Jaco and the SO’s for hosting and officiating at last weekend’s Southern Nationals.

This was actually my first S.Nats but I and the other members of our squad thoroughly enjoyed the shoot and the challenging stages presented.

As expected, everything ran like clockwork and we had no delays or hold-ups during the shoot.

Also wanted to extend huge congrats to my fellow squad members and the other medal and division winners.

Traveling down to Touwsrivier on Friday and back on Monday for SNAT may be considered somewhat extreme by some, but we had a blast! The range is well-organised, the SOs were pleasant but very safety conscious (which is how it should be), the Friday night wine tasting was excellent even though we did not stay long after the 13+ hour drive, and the results were gratifying despite minor brainfarts on the first standards stage.

Thank you TDPC and Jaco, we will be back!

A great big thumbs up to all who ventured to the karoo for the shoot. As hoped, I think all went very well. Thanks to the SO,s, range staff and especially the van der Bank family for your dedication and effort. Also a special thanks to Christo for his sterling work getting the range in the condition we expect from such an event.Chris du Toit from Bergsig Estate for the fine wine tasting. Our headline sponsor, Quenets and all the other businesses that made a contribution. Looking forward to the Africa Champs later this year at FBSSC.
