I can tell you from being neighbor with Venezuela, everything is not as being reported by the RSA fact finding fools, will it be the 1st time they lied about a situation or was it a case of being treated by the current regime where they didn't experience any loadshedding or food shortage?

Our Ambassador to Venezuela recently stated that our government would protect them in the event the Americans invaded. That shows how biased and out of touch with reality our government is in respect of the situation there. Given that the United States, the EU, and most of Venezuela's neighbors no longer recognize the Dictator Maduro as President, but our government still does (along with such wonderful examples of freedom and respect for human rights as Russia, China and Iran) shows that our foreign policy is irrational, morally bankrupt, and not geared towards our country's best interests. We have sadly long forfeit the right to speak out on human rights because we are friends with the worst human rights violators in the world.

I found this article of interest. Very much like what FerFal had to say about Argentina during their financial collapse, and both of them closely parallel our situation here in SA
