Mmmmm load shedding

My 6.5kVa was stolen 3 weeks ago.

So sorry Andrew.
It makes my problem seem 'tiny' in comparison.
Our Gigaset VOIP system crashed during a 'load shedding' and despite all efforts from our Internet Provider and Siemens is still not working.
Looks like it's going to cost around ZAR 2000 to replace the base station and handset.
It just goes on and on....and 'Government's answer'...
Let's have another [expensive] Board of Enquiry/Commission of Enquiry which produces nothing tangible.

Before the ANC govt Eskom was a world class operation ( first world) . Today what has it become?

This is exactly why the ANC cannot move forward. Squirrel is not man enough to get rid of the rotten bunch that keeps us in the dark ages. One good thing about apartheid is that it created a solid foundation for a truck full of politicians to become multi millionaires in the past 25 years at the expense of us tax payers. On Wednesday we had 12 hours without power. I am glad I did not buy an electric car.

It's a pity that the majority will never understand, that it's the apartheid era infrastructure that's keeping the lights on at the moment.
