    Cool Huntex 2019

    Its April,

I associate April with Huntex month.

Who is going, what do you want to buy and what can we look out for.

On my list for the day :
    1) Reloading components
    2) New glock mags
    3) having a "blast" of a time with the wife

Will probably be there again this year, while it still lasts. Also keep an eye out for stores running "Huntex specials" at their own premises, a few of the big retailers have opted for this and run good specials.

    Not going to Huntex.
Maybe it's because I'm not a hunter but after going for a couple years I don't really find it appealing anymore.
Crowded halls, being handed so many pamphlets, buying things that are pretty much retail price and fondling guns you don't get to shoot.

I'd rather go to the GOSA Firearms Festival in Gauteng this month. You can actually shoot guns there. There were even two 50 cal rifles there last year, now that's appealing.

That's a good idea, when and where will it be held?

27 and 28 April at Cecil Payne.

A few of the Huntex mainstays are taking ranges for demos. Truvelo will hopefully bring out their new 20mm as well as the 50 cals and the 308s.

I'd like to get look at a Leupold Freedom Red Dot sight- it has grabbed my interest. Wonder if there'll be one there??

Then you can piss on all the guys who brag about shooting a 50. I have not yet shot any of those, but my gf shot it at the Girls on Fire day, flippet, I even paid for her day of fun and now it feels if my sole duty is to load and supply her with ammo. LoL
