I can confirm it will be most suitable for IDPA, yes. As long as your tube can hold 6x rounds.

I run a 1300 with an extention tube (so I can start with 6, or 5+1) - and I'm not being outshot by other pumps.

    Do it, you won't regret : ]

You shouldn't be starting with six in your magazine. You start with five, and five only in the magazine. If it is a patrol ready start you can have one in the chamber.

See 8.1.2 of the DMG rules.

Nothing stops you from starting with 4, even if 5x is allowed. You will only have to do an additional reload against those that start with 5.

Look at http://www.cdpc.co.za - they shoot at Eufees shooting range, just below the Voortrekker monument. Go shoot an "NSO" shoot [new shooter orientation] (you are now allowed to partake in IDPA club matches before deciding to join the cult) - it is Highly recommended!

And remember not to compare yourself to the guys shooting the shiny autoloaders - in IDPA DMG, you're competing in a different class with a pump (and your reloads will determine the win anyway )

    Obviously.

If you are shooting a defender in OSG you have bigger problems.
