Earmuffs advice
I am looking to buy new earmuffs, Electronic, over head (not behind neck) and guess what else, not "too expensive"
Who uses what? Which brand is the best?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Earmuffs advice
3M PELTOR SportTac - very good but a bit expensive.
Howard Leight Impact Sport - IMO good value for money.

Re: Earmuffs advice
My left ear failed medical this year. Invest in decent ear protection that you will be able to comfortably wear the whole day. My old ear protection worked great when it was on but as soon as i am done shooting i remove them because they are uncomfortable when worn for long durations. Every now and then a shot is fired before i get to put them on in time.
in a typical 100 round club shoot with 10 people in a squad your ears are exposed to a 1000+ shots.
i have now invested in MSA Sordin Pro with Gel pads and i wear them from the beginning till the end of the shoot. They are so comfortable you forget about them. And their electronics are awesome, you can accurately judge the direction of any sound and it can amplify to the extend “jy sal n mat miet hoor kots”
they dont clip sound which causes gaps in conversation, they literally just reduce loud noises to an acceptable level.
they are slim design and will not interfere with rifle stocks etc.
invest in eye and ear protection! Not the place to try and save money

Re: Earmuffs advice
For me it's between the Peltor Protac Hunter, Howard Leight Impact Sport or the Walker Razors.
I get the buy MSA Sordins or the like, but it's just damn expensive and do they really make THAT much of a differance?
From a quick Google search, and yes Dr. Google can be wrong.
Walker Razor 23db Reduction
Howard Leight 22db Reduction
MSA Sordin 18db
Peltor Protac Hunter 26db
