Default Musgrave grip cap - Wanted.

I managed to loose the grip cap from my wife's Musgrave K98L, does anyone have one lying around that they want to sell?

Now is the time to make her a personalised one from ebony or buffalo horn ;-)

That is not a bad idea. Now I'll have to shoot another buffalo :)

Which obviously means you need a new, big-bore rifle...

This may turn out to be a very expensive grip cap...

Maybe one made from ebony is the answer.

As mentioned by Pirate, it may be time to add something more purty.

I did restoration work on my Musgrave .308 stock, which had that ugly abomination of a grip cap on it. I added a type of plastic material for a grip cap, the name which escapes me now, but it is used by knifemakers to make scales for knives. I found it at a knifemaking supply shop for cheap. I glued with Pratley clear epoxy. It is about 5mm thick and you can just round the edges.

See the link above for before and after pics. I also added a shadow line for the cheeckpiece and recut the checkering.
