Norinco .223 Rem for Bolt Action?
Hi All
Anyone that can give advise on using Norinco .223 Rem (yellow box) in bolt action rifles?
Are they suitable for bolt actions or is pulling the bullet and reloading to proper .223 specs the better option?

Re: Norinco .223 Rem for Bolt Action?
Hi there. Through personal experience, I have found that this ammo does not work well in my bolt action, flat primers and sticky bolt with 4" groups in a 1/9 twist with the 55 grainer. Also MV was over 3300ft/s which equates to over pressure in my rifle. I've also got a silencer fitted so that aided extra MV. But that's just my findings on my rifle and could be different on yours.

Its 5.56 spec ammo and hot at that. Most bolt guns have 223 chambers. Not a great idea

Thanks for the responses.
I thought as much when the dealer said it was millsurp.
Will pull the bullets and reload to .223 specs.
Only need to find a set of dies and some powder....
