RIP General Denis Earp
(Copied from Col Michael John Louw via Brenton Tyrrell)
"It is with great sadness and regret that I advise of the passing away of Lt Gen Denis Earp, a former Chief of the Air Force and Patron of the SAAF Association. General Earp attended both the Annual Air Force Memorial Service at Bay’s Hill yesterday morning and then the Annual Smuts Memorial Service at the Smuts House Museum in the afternoon. During the early evening he felt ill and was taken to hospital where he later passed away due to a suspected heart attack. Our deepest condolences to Aunty Beth and the family. A legend has gone home to rest. At the going down of the Sun and in the morning, we will remember him!"

RIP General, it was an honour to have met you and a priviledge to have spent time getting to know you.
