Re: Suggestion for Classifieds template?
RabingD I know you coming from a point of good intention.
It is better that GS is built on a firm foundation of of its core intention before a small part of that is grown into a monster ie reading platform.live out your imagination , not your history.

Re: Suggestion for Classifieds template?
I have no problem at all
Just thought to myself this week as I was browsing the classifieds section: "Damn, some more info would be nice. I don't want to contact and PM every single guy where I might be interested in an ad just to ask for a location", since I don't like buying long distance stuff.
But all good

Re: Suggestion for Classifieds template?
What's wrong with GS being an open trading platform for gun enthusiasts ect ? I think the more traffic brought to the site the better. And alot easier for us to purchase from trusted sellers .

Re: Suggestion for Classifieds template?
No because it is only 30mins away. Many users dont set locations.

Re: Suggestion for Classifieds template?
Correct, I did not. but why must one go through hoops to get basic information on an ad? You open an ad, and have to scan all over the place to get the necessary info or ask for other basic info.
Would it hurt to have a small template or basic format where you can get all the info needed in one place, neatly typed beneath each other?
Look at the two ads I made. Much easier to see the ad, have the necessary information at hand which results in no unnecessary PMs and communication for basics. No need to contact and say hi, where are you based? Hi, what is the condition of the item, hey are you negotiable or not etc. Hey would you be willing to pay shipping or must I?
Anyways, I just made a suggestion - with the aim of making the classifieds a bit more neat and easier to browse.

Re: Suggestion for Classifieds template?
I hear you rD. You have good intentions. I’m a bit jaded, though. People can’t even read the massive yellow banner, visible on both mobile and desktop versions, about not placing an ad without the requisite number of posts. They’re never going to stick to an ad template.
