    Default Holsters and WML

    Hi

I'm referring specifically to IWB or AIWB in Kydex. Do you guys/gals find that one can have one holster made that can take a WML, but use the holster daytime without WML fitted? I need to understand the complexities as I want to migrate to a single style/type holster. It seems from feedback that AIWB will not be comfortable with WML in an office environment.

At the moment I need to transition to a different holster at night. The draw is completely different to my EDC, I'm concerned it will end up in a snafu in a high stress situation.

Why not just leave the light on permanently, the light adds a little width, I dont find it any more or less uncomfortable? Then again I don't sit much at all

Most times the retention is based on the light instead of on the trigger guard, so you'd probably struggle to find a holster that can be used properly with and without a WML.

What is the problem with the draw ? Should be a similar draw if they're both in kydex holsters, with the same clips/loops, same belt and same carry position ?

The running is exercise and a fit battery is a happy battery ...

On a more serious note, if the holster is designed for a wml and you remove the wml the holster will still be the same size and the same "difficulty" to wear

I have a holster made by Geoff Carter for my G19 + Inforce APL.
It works perfectly fine without the light attached

I’m lost. Why would you want to use the same holster without the WML? If the holster takes a WML it seems logical to leave it attached

Especially as the holster's profile, and thus its concealability and comfort, is not going to change.

To clarify. Upgrading is expensive. I’m looking at switching to AIWB while doing the upgrade.
Sitting all day at a desk and needing 100% concealment I need to know would AIWB work or should I stay with 3 o’clock with the WML. I have a feeling that the WML bulk may be too much for daytime use. G19 & Olight Pl ii So that means 2 holsters.

I’m using a Fobus OWB with the light but the draw on it is crap.
