The pistol is pretty much a straight up copy of the CZ75 Compact...in fact IIRC magazines will interchange. I have heard stories of spotty quality control, but the few I have seen in action all ran well.

Theu are heavy, and the design forces the user to carry either in 'condition 1'...hammer cocked over a chambered round, safety 'on'...or thumb lower the hammer over a chambered round unless one prefers the Israeli 'dead man's carry' with loaded magazine and empty chamber. They were also sold under the name 'EAA Witness' in the states.

Provided it is reliable, and you are shooting for fun or to improve your shooting abilities, it should be able to perform as both an SD pistol and a competition gun in classes such as SAPDA SSP (stock service pistol). It won't be found in the hands of the top competitive shooters, but that was never it's intended purpose anyway.

I think BigT had one of these at one point.

    Pretty cool little gun.

I have the TA90 full size gun. They are basically a copy of the CZ75 with a few improvements. Firstly, the gun is made from a high quality nickel steel and these guns are very tough. They also use a full length guide rod and slide rails and overall quality and workmanship is better than the CZ's.

Don't be put off using them as competition guns. Some of the best shooters around use Tanfoglios or EAA's as they are known in the states. Doug Koenig is just one such shooter who has beaten all commers using these pistols.

I had one for a bit. Didnt run it that hard but not a bad little gun.

Sold it and some other guns to finance my GLOCK 17. Probably owned it for six months or so.
