Re: 6.5 Creedmoor vs 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser Ammo Guide ballistics
I seem to have witnessed the start of long range hunt shooting in Australia, I asked about it because, of the 4 groups or clicks I met there was only one guy who had no inclination to try out the 1000 m thing. As I said earlier the area I was in called for 300/500 m shots as a norm for the non stalk guys, the rest were very keen on field to field shooting. My brother said that two years ago no one even spoke of it.I brought back two Leopold scopes, 3 - 9 and a Bushnell - given to me by guys that had upgraded to Nightforce 24 x + scopes for the long range shooting.

Re: 6.5 Creedmoor vs 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser Ammo Guide ballistics
In first discussions regarding this long range stuff, the Creedmore came up and later and later and then again. There are Creedmores on order and being built - evidently it will solve many difficulties with the whole long range scenario.
Or so I am told ............................

Re: 6.5 Creedmoor vs 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser Ammo Guide ballistics
Dave , this is the first local made chassis I saw that I like. I spoke to the designer/builder, he will make the 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser action fit is perfectly ..I now has a classic rifle stock as well as a chassis for the same barreled action. I really are looking forward shooting this rifle chassis set up

Gert, what would your friend Johan's comment be about a chassis? That would be interesting thoughts...
I met him the other day when having a look at those .404 Jefferies. What a great man to get some other views on life. If I stayed close I would spend time in his facility regularly and just polish and clean rifles for the love of it and to relax.

Re: 6.5 Creedmoor vs 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser Ammo Guide ballistics
Adoons, it is great to hear you have been at the "Kluis" gunsmith shop. Yes, for sure, now you understand why this is such a great privilege for me to have worked in the "Safe" for these past ten years after work.
It is just incredible to be working with Johan Greyling, my mentor and friend who taught me everything I now know about guns and rifles. This is a privilege not any other have that I know of...
Johan Greyling is a great person to know, his knowledge and skills are second to none. His innovative thinking and skills are legendary...As a friend he is a golden asset , always willing to listen when I have an idea or proposal to build something, always willing to spend his time to accommodate me.
I really am a fortunate person to have Johan Greyling as a friend.
Johan Greyling is always open to new ideas and views ..this chassis concept is just another project in the making. We already are discussing a aluminum casting project to cast a chassis from scratch for the .338 Imperial Magnum I want to build three years from now..we already are building furnaces to melt and cast aluminum.

***********************
When I posted I thought to self that there are many chassis just like that one, but yes the one I used was also RSA product with a Arctic silencer.
Edit : I did have the impression that it was made of aluminium, but concluded it must be one of the new pewter like alloy's of plastic.
