    Default S15 OSS APLICATION HELP

    Good day gents

I am in the process of licencing my s15 occasional sport shooter for my g43. I just took out a NSA membership as well.
In my Motivation what facts do i need to cover to ensure i dont get refused. I hear they can refuse for stupid reasons.
I Want to make sure i cover all my bases.

    Thanks.

S15 for OSS, give them a proof of membership of your club, a couple of photos of you at the range, and explain to them why you need this gun (if you have another handgun) something along the line of the "Glock G43 being so small making it more challenging for you to hit the targets and this challenge is what you are seeking as an occasional sport shooter" that should work, I also dont think you should submit any NHSA documents because that will more than likely confuse the CFR, but this is just my point of view, use it dont use it.

    Good luck with the app

    Why would it confuse them?

List the exercise in the postal shoot that you will participate in with the Glock 43 and hence state why the 43 is suitable for that category and why your other firearms aren't. Also apply for an endorsement from NHSA and provide proof of your membership. Being a member of a shooting club isn't required for S15 but applications have been incorrectly refused for not providing proof of membership hence it could help to be a member of club/range.

They see NHSA and see Section 16.
    They could get "conveniently" confused....

And last I read someone saying that NHSA wont endorse you for a section 15 application...?

If you have joined NHSA, why don't you get DSS? The benefits are more than S15.

Either way, you will need to motivate why your current FA is not sufficient. I would include the attendance as part of the application. How CFR will interpret your application is unknown.
