Default Help needed identifying some old military kit

    Hi folks
So a fellow collector recently gave some of his old goods as he's scaling down his collection.
Among these things are some military kit pieces.
Can any of you perhaps identify any of these goods -what era they're from and by which countries /forces they might've been used.
    Thanks

Hi Johnny. From left to right, bottom row.
    • British large frame leather holster.
    • not sure looks to be an upgrade to the P37 webbing (WW2 era) for the 38 revolvers. Perhaps 50’s era kit
    • SADF pistol holster not sure of date
    • SADF sane as above
    • P37 large frame revolver holster.

    Top row
    • mag pouch SADF for R4 series rifles. Probably early 80’s
Not sure looks to be bandolier.

If you want to part with them I’d be very interested in holsters 1, 2 and 5. I collect kit from that era.

Thanks so much for enlightening me CorditeCrazy, much appreciated.
Re. holsters 1 & 5 I happen to own a few Webleys which as far as I know those two were made/ meant for.
Any idea what particular handguns #'s 2, 3 & 4 were used for?
I'll definitely keep you in mind if &/ when I should ever consider getting rid of any such items.
    Thanks again

Of the canvas holsters some were made to hold the Star pistol and some were later made to hold the Z88. The ones made for the Star will obviously be "flatter" than those made for the Z88. The magpouch on the outside of the holsters will also be indicative of the type of pistol it was designed to hold.

I also recall a leather type holster that was used to hold the flare pistols.

Hi Johnny. For holster 2 probably the Webley MKIV in 38S&W or Enfield or S&W M10’s.

On a different note what Webleys do you have I also collect them 😊
