Kudu skin
Shot this kudu on Friday evening. I thought some members might appreciate the quality of the skin. Horns are average, but the entire skin was flawless.

Re: Kudu skin
Nice bull. Tell us more about the caliber you used. I don't see bullet holes.

Re: Kudu skin
This bull shot on his right hand side quartering away while eating, using the 6.5CM 143g ELD-X and no exit. Was about an hour wait for him to position himself in a way I was comfortable as I wasn't shooting with monos, so didn't want to risk the shoulder. Found the bull about 10m from where he was shot.

Re: Kudu skin
That is a exceptional example of our soft bush area animal. If you get the time, stop at Hunters and Collectors in the valley and as you come up the stairs there on wall first thing you will see are two kudu shoulder mounts, one a plain grey and then my one - a mirror image of yours. He put it there on display because he said its likely the prettiest kudu he has ever seen - the grey one beside it is just to emphasis "how" pretty it is. Your bull is truly a mirror of mine.

Re: Kudu skin
Very nice looking bull.
Both of my Namibia kudus were covered with ticks and were bald in spots.
Advertise that hide or sell it to a taxidermist if you can't afford the fee. Hunters with poor hides should gobble it up.

Re: Kudu skin
Beautiful animal! He also looks to be somewhat darker than what I'm used to here up North.
