Default Help ID Walther PP clone

Can anyone shed some light on who the manufacturer of this Walther pp clone is. The serial number has an AM prefix and shows a 1980 manufacturing date. There is no manufacturer name engraved on the slide. The only mark that looks like a logo is a triangle with an upwards pointing arrow. IMG-20190615-WA0002.jpg

I thought that as well but what I don't know is whether FEG's clone had a heel magazine release

I would also add that there are some unique looking recessed cuts on the slide just in front of the rear sight

FEG, very common cheap a good few years back. Possibly early 90's. Very rough.

The pistol was made by FEG in Budapest, Hungary. There were several models. This smaller PPK-style was also available with a mag release near the trigger guard. FEG-made pistols were marketed under several brand names, including FEG, Luger and Mauser. In the early 90's, they retailed for around R600.

The triangle arrow is the symbol for Izhmash in Russia.
