Split Wildebees
Can someone please explain what the difference between a F1 / F2 and F3 Split Golden Wildebees is please?

Iemand kan my reghelp as ek verkeerd is maar hierdie is soos ek dit verstaan.
Goue bees en gewone blou bees paar dan is die kalf 'n F1 split met 50% goue gene.
Goue bees en F1 paar dan is die kalf 'n F2 split met 75% goue gene.
Goue bees en F2 paar dan is die kalf 'n F3 split met 87,5% goue gene.

Seems fair-ish. R4,500 is a bit steep for a cow, but maybe the F1 thing plays a part. Did you ask if it's F1 or something? Did the PH tell you? If not, I would refuse that extra R1k over a normal cow price.

From a hunting point of view, split animals are worth no more than a normal animal. From a farmer's point if view, they can be sold to another breeder for a bit more than a normal cow. Hopefully the price was discussed beforehand.

The price was R4.5k on the list of animals for normal WB.
The Golden WB and splits were not up and available for hunting.
The animal was shot very early with the sun right behind her. The ID was done by the PH yet under circumstances wasn't easy.
The split WB was tagged with a grean "stud" and number tag in the ear?
The price didn increase yet there was subtle exchange of words between the resident PH and owner.
