    Mike

Competency approvals can take a while. Mine took about 3 months and the wait can be very frustrating.

Hang in there bud. It will be worth the wait in the end.

And here is another question: A GOSA membership, I will be doing my motivation through a firearm attorney do I still need a GOSA membership certificate to add to my firearm licence application pack?

Thanks @Wezza, I'm not used to having to be this patient. I went and shot a couple of rounds yesterday which helped...I'll have to make more frequent trips.

I don't believe you need a GOSA membership for your application but please join GOSA as they are fighting the good fight for us as gun owners

    Hi all,

Just an update, so my competency is 60 working days at CFR and I decided to phone today (which they answered immediately Yay!) and it's gone from criminal records to in consideration, what does this mean and how long do I still need to wait?

I am in the same boat, My application for licence went/going to CFR this week from Cape Town.
Competency from beginning to card in hand took 5 1/2 months.
