As far as I can remember they weren't assembled here, just maybe the front handguards added.

Out of interest - why would you want a milled receiver AK?
My 1962 Kalash AKM has a stamped receiver and is of exceptional fit, finish and quality.

Hi Khumba. We need photos!!! I have to admit, I am not an expert on AKs, however, from what I understand the originals from the USSR were milled and later replaced with the stamped versions. I never knew they were stamped too? I had a look at the Norincos and Saigas currently on offer and both look like really great guns. However, if I can pick up an "original" one that would be first prize - thus the question.
