I suppose the biggest problem is going to be a lack of spares and accessories judging on what is said above. Having said that, there is still something really neat about locally made weapons. Still think it would be cool for the range or some sport use.

They are ammo sensitive because the bolt weights the same as a small child.

They need hot ammo and hard primers.

The sights are ridiculously small for the purpose. The underfolding stock is sturdy enough but not the most comfortable thing in the world to shoot. The ergonomics, generally are what you would expect from a subgun design of that era - not great.

They are easy to suppress. Mine is super quiet - to the point where it doesn't trigger timers.

If you put in the work to mess with loads to get it to function properly and carefully fitted all your mags it will be reasonably reliable.

I'd still take a pistol for defence though.
Shot mine only at the range and not huge amounts of rounds. Used el cheapos and so far no issue. Have to agree with the sights, they are tiny this is why I want to fit a red dot. But it is planned as a sports gun, for self-defense I rather take my Glock with a happy stick.

Was at NSN on Saturday, they have a BXP for sale. Magazines are a problem, we were able to find one spare one that fit my firearm.

As a matter of interest, what did they want for it?

Any recommendation on reflex sights that can be installed on the BXP.
