Re: BUSH SHOWER
Who has a garden hose available in the bush.
The easiest is to buy a shower head with 12V pump. Heat water on fire and pump it out of a pail to have a hot shower. Much cheaper than that setup.

Re: BUSH SHOWER
We use a matt black painted jerry can full of water, which is placed in the sun during the day. If the water is too cold you can always place it next to the fire. At the camping stores you get a kit with a small 12v submersible pump, pipes and shower rose. If you need more water it helps to raise the can higher of the floor. I extended the 12v cables and put crocodile clamps on it. It is a very good idea to take a duck board along so you don't stand in the mud.

Re: BUSH SHOWER
The way I look at it is that a gas cylinder is already in the kit and add on is not expensive and very robust. It can be used at home ( thank Eskom) or on a road trip.
wrt to those 12v pumps , I get the same shower out the Gardena spray and less the bother .live out your imagination , not your history.

Re: BUSH SHOWER
I really like it. You only heat what you need. I have a permanent caravan under roof at the Vaal Dam, we only get 15A so after fridges, lights, etc. not much room left for electrical heating. This could be a perfect solution.
Any idea of the cost KK?
I can get a 6l/hour automatic gas geyser (starts automatically when the tap is opened) for R 2.2k. So right now this is very topical for me.One too many wasted sunsets and one too many for the road .........
