Default Need Help Identifying & Valuing Old Rifles

Hello everyone, if anyone can help me identify and/or value 2 old rifles I will be extremely grateful.

According to my research they are:

    1) A WWII era Mauser .22 rifle

    2) A very old Harrington & Richardson small bore double barrel shotgun

I'll gladly send photos upon request.

Again, I will very much appreciate any information or advice given.

The .22 Mausers I know of have all been about R5000 for sale price, there may be special value models.
What do you mean by H&R small bore ? is it a obsolete bore ?
The 12 bore H&R s that have crossed my path have all been worth almost nothing ?
perhaps this could help you https://gundigest.com/reviews/harrin...-and-reference

    Thanks treeman.

The shotgun is I think 28 or 20 gauge. I'll see if I can find some of it's old cartridges.

I'm new to the forum, would it help if I sent some photos?

It is likely that with photo's you would get responses far less vague than mine - use photo bucket or such for photo's or look up posting photo's

As I said to another member: Some of the closeups are a little unflattering because the light is directly from the side and throws every scrape and speck of dust into stark relief, but while I wouldn't classify it's condition as excellent, it's definitely not poor.

Agreed. Search the forum with "Mauser 410B" and you'll find plenty info. I & several others have put out several posts regarding these guns.

    Where are you?
