Angry Galil Sar .223 tritium night sights

    Good evening all

I just purchased an original Galil Sar .223

The rifle did not come with the tritium night sights however and looks like they were taken off

I would love to replace them as I feel I dont have a "complete " weapon without them

Could anyone please point me on the direction to purchase new okes locally?

    Thanks in advance

I saw on this one Instagram page, this guy filled the holes with tritium paint and sealed it with a clear coat worked quite well imo. It was a story unfortunately so don't have pics.

    Hi all

Thanks very much. There was a mix up and Nobleteq confirmed they have old ones in stock.have placed the order

Now just need to figure out how to install them

Just to be clear, are they 'tritium' or glow-in-the-dark' sights? Buying old tritium vials (it comes in tiny glass vials) probably means they are expired or near expiring (they have a radioactive half-life of 12.32 years). If it is just 'glow-in-the-dark' sights you might be fine but remember then they will need to be charged with a light source in order to glow (like a kids toy) and wont be continuously glowing like tritium. This is the stuff you can also just paint on.

It's an old pair of tritium sights that are "new" but tritium has already expired

To be honest I'm happy that I found a pair at all

I think finding tritium sights that are operational in SA is not going to happen

I found from the USA but cannot be exported due to US laws

The ones I've also bought is old LM night sights but I believe will work and function exactly the same on my Galil

Correct me if I'm wrong please?
