Re: Bought a Taurus. Again!
If I recall from time back. Did they not have indexing issues that pop up.

Re: Bought a Taurus. Again!
Waiting for PietvWdVries's response on Taurus guns...
I have only had good Tauri revolvers, so I have a good opinion of them. I really regret selling my 689 4". I also missed a deal on 4" 608 recently, damn! it went for R2500.
I also cannot afford a Smith 627 or GP100 at this time

Re: Bought a Taurus. Again!
Thanks for the vote of confidence!
That's a pretty common issue. On my first 608, which I still have and shoot, the cylinder end-shake was excessive, resulting in the cylinder binding on the forcing cone after 2 cylinders full. Needless to say, I had to fix it myself. Just like the other issues. I think I can strip and assemble it blindfolded by now...
Very important equipment that. Also remember to use it, or else you might find the cylinder on the ground some day.
No, nothing wrong with my hormones, except that they don't contribute to my need for one (or more) of these:

I would even be willing to settle for this one:

Now if you can organise one with a 7 1/2" barrel, even better.
Thanks for expressing your love and pledging your support to a fellow Gunsiter in desperate distress. I am even willing to contribute a few $ myself to such a worthy cause.

Re: Bought a Taurus. Again!
I love shooting my 689. Recreational sport shooting. 0 problems. Bought it for plinking and home backup. (in the farmhouse a firearm here and there is always a good idea...) Not for EDC though. For the price I am still happy with it.

Re: Bought a Taurus. Again!
I used the Taurus today at the Limpopo Provincial Pin Shooting Champs. It did well. Can only blame the driver for any poor scores. Results will be out tomorrow, after the Elimination matches.
