    Default Barrel threading advice needed

Hi. I want to have 3 rifle barrels threaded for suppressors. A 270, 243 and .22.
Any recommendations with regards to gunsmiths and also what's an average price for a decent job.

I think Gunwarrior (Centurion) charges R600 for threading, may depend on whether there is a front sight to remove.

I'm subscribing here as well. I requested a quote from Arms CC in PTA as well but I think I'll give them a call quickly.

Arms quoted me more, but they also do crowning by default, while Gunwarrior only does threading and crowning would be additional.

In CPT it will be Bullet Central and Petrus Jonker and Seuns.

Petrus Jonker has done work for me on a CZ 527 22hornet.

And Bullet Central on my Rem VSSF 308. And they are this week busy with my Sako 222 and 22lr.

I am incredibly fuzzy about work on my firearms. But these two I trust.

But this only helps you if in CPT.

Why would they re crown if they only thread barrel. Or did they shorten it for you.

OK I called a little because I wanted to know anyway. Prices are for pencil barrels without sights. I didn't ask for others:

Arms CC (PTA): R880 excl VAT
    Gunwarrior (Centurion): R750 "cash price".
VLT (PTA): R850, outsourced to a guy who does it from his home.
    LA Arms (PTA): R950
    MRS Techniques (PTA): R1,450

And considering I have a brand new rifle, I wouldn't want it re-crowned.

Thanks for all the responses. I initially got 2 quotes. One for R1000 and the other for R1500 per rifle. Wanted to get an idea on pricing.
