I can highly recommend Warren at Gunwarrior. You'll probably even get it back the same day if you make an appointment.

Danie Joubert: R650, with additional R200 for a thread cap. I guess it's no secret who I'm going to go with.

Now if anyone needs anymore motivation go and check out the crazy prices some of our so called gunsmiths are charging for this same job and did I mention there is a damn good chance your thread could be cut off-centre too which would be a huge problem if you fit a silencer made for the same calibre as your gun.

I will guarantee you it won't ever happen if Danie Joubert did your gun for you as he checks it personally more than once.

    My 2c worth.

For the work and time that goes in. I cant believe someone charges R650. Unless low overheads or from home. If from home I hope has all correct Docs.

The actual charge is R850. The 650 charge is only to cut the thread without the end cap. I would assume the other prices quoted include the end cap. They range from 750 to 1500.

You are right that he is perhaps under charging, perhaps to his detriment but make no mistake Danie is a master gunsmith
