6.5x55 vs 6.5 Creedmore vs 260 Remington for hunting
I've been having a good laugh at all the banter on the forum about the Creedmore and its relation to other calibers with respect to hunting.
Let me sum it up this way.
If your wife comes to bed in a skimpy lingerie outfit, or a low cut nurses outfit, or her Mr Price pyjamas, on the surface, everything seems different, at the end of the day with the same bullet, its the same hole.

Re: 6.5x55 vs 6.5 Creedmore vs 260 Remington for hunting
FYI
The 6.5 Creedmoor is named for Creedmoor Sports, a name that can be traced back to early NRA matches on the site of the “Creed” farm in upstate New York in 1874. The surrounding farmland reminded visiting British and Irish shooters of their “moorlands” back home—hence the term “Creedmoor.”

Re: 6.5x55 vs 6.5 Creedmore vs 260 Remington for hunting
You are looking at it from the wrong angle.
Reverse the scenario, a wife lies in bed, it does not matter if her husband arrives dressed as a cowboy, an astronaut or spongebob squarepants, not even the fact that his caliber remains the same is relevant, the only relevance is can he actually USE it?
We were sitting on the range this morning discussing exactly that, a false sense of reality.
We see so many people that can shoot tiny groups or gongs out yonder who thinks they can actually hunt, not realizing shooting gongs is just about the easiest thing to do. One session with a pro will have you hitting gongs all day long. One session of hunting practice will get you nowhere, it takes years to master hunting.
Unfortunately nowhere is it more prevalent than with the new 6.5 creed shooters, many think success on the range translates to success in the hunting field, and that cannot be further from the truth.
You take a hunter, give him the creed, like T-stone for example, and there will be no difference in performance between the creed, the sweed, or the yank.
You take a gong shooter, and NONE of the three will magically make him a good hunter.
A wife does not want a gong shooter to show up, someone who can hit the same gong every single time, she wants a hunter to show up, someone with real skill, not a yuppie that is still wet from the bluetooth behind his ears.

A typical poor attempt from a creed owner, using something he does not understand.
At least a swede owner would know Disney f@cked star wars, hence none of its original content is usable anymore. But the needmoor guys, they probably think the last two movies was the coolest thing since sliced bread.
All the money and gear but none of the skill and common sense.
