Default Inheritance of a FA advise

I stand to inherite an FA once an estate has been wound up. I have a concern:

The FA license has not been kept up as the estate has been wound up for more then 5 years and probably still some years to go.

Would this be a problem when registering the FA once the estate is complete?

The firearms are supposed to be removed from the name of the deceased before the estate can be wound up (closed). This means that they should be in the name of the new owner or a gunshop or handed in to SAPS before the process of winding up has been completed. I would suggest that you start the process of getting them into your name as soon as possible because it might become impossible to do so if the licences expire.

If there's still a green license then you can go ahead with licensing even if the white license has expired.
