Transfer of one firearm from gun store to another gun store?
Hey guys,
Quick one: I’m still waiting to receive my comp certificate from CFR but in the interim I purchased a firearm from a gun store to start training. I discovered I have a range less than a kilometer from my house. Can one have a firearm transferred to another gun store/ range without having a licence ?
thanks

Yes.
You can have the firearm moved from one gunshop to another gunshop. They would need to then have the firearm transferred onto their books, and that takes a bit of time with CFR theses days, which could delay the Licencing process a little.A roaring Lion kills no game

You would also likely have to pay storage charges at the new dealer.

Unfortunately it will delay. I bought 2 rifles in October. Had to be transferred from importing Dealer to my dealer before DFO would accept app. Took 6 months before I could submit app.
