My 7k chinese ak (literal cheap as it gets) has 2000 rounds through it, one stoppage due to reload not resized, I'd put it up against a saiga all day (oK OK thats ak's)

Just seem some "budget" rifles are more equal than others.

I will never spend 17k and go meh its budget.
Lol or spend in excess of R5000 fixing your "budget rifle"

Sorry, don't own a Taurus but I will look into them.

Btw today at the range the only things that malfunctioned were 2 Glocks

With Sport 2's coming in at R16k or there abouts you'd be silly to go with anything else in the budget line ups.

I had a taurus, it broke badly. Been running GLOCKS with thousands of rounds through no problems (except my own reloads with proud primers).

So two Glocks malfunctioning for some unknown reason today makes a DM4 reliable?

    Makes sense.

No it doesn't but claiming that DM4 owners are like a cult who will prop up good news just because of it is equally stupid. Talk about facts and even better solutions. I have no issue with somebody saying that a Colt is a better budget gun than the DM4 as long as you can explain why. I am not invested in my guns, they are mechanical tools that should go bang when I press the trigger.

simply because the colt doesn't have LITERAL threads of problems?

The argument here is DM4 owners going, "yes it's had issues, but its a budget gun" like thats some sort of reason

My ak was cheap, and chinese, yet it can hit paper plates at 100m and other than one incorrect sized round, has never had an issue in over two cases of ammo.

In that price bracket, one would be better off with a M&P or stag etc,

If only people had bought tusker rifles as much as they buy "made in south africa"

Well my only issue with my DM4 was shooting overly hot Norinco ammo and a suppressor, without the latter no problem. Otherwise it works.

Yes, but the point being made is YOU ARE ONE DM4 owner
The general consensus is that there are issues

There are also Taurus owners on the forum whose millenium G2 has been fine, but in general it varies from gun to gun.

I am by no means an AR guy, at all, I know a bit about DI vs piston, but I know alot about aks because thats what interests me

So I am commenting purely from what I have seen and heard both on the forum and in general

To spend 17k on ANY AR and expect a trouble free experience is naive.
