No reason carry cannot be comfortable.

Re: My expert opinion on EDC after 5 days of carrying
For me carrying the pistol is fine, I forget it's there AIWB. It's the extra mag that has always been the problem. My latest solution that seems to be the most bearable is a Daniel's IWB single with an ulticlip.
I work in an office environment so tuckable holster are a must for me.

Re: My expert opinion on EDC after 5 days of carrying
Very nice read!
Started my EDC journey couple of months ago, and started out very similar and made the transition alot easier. Choosing the right holster and belt was very intimidating not knowing what to expect, but had some greqt reads and info on the site.

Re: My expert opinion on EDC after 5 days of carrying
I carry 2 spare 17+2 mags on my left AIWB position. I find this balances out my G19 on the right very nicely, and the gun by itself just feels weird without the counter weight

Re: My expert opinion on EDC after 5 days of carrying
I went through that uncomfortable phase while still carrying the holster, I do remember reaching a point where I didnt want to put it on but forced myself to go on. It is something to maybe warn newbs about. Now at day 9 it is getting more and more comfortable.
I have even sorted out my issues with my spare mag carrier. I drilled a new hole and moved it up on the Jclip one hole spacing, about 15mm.
I had to cut away a bit at an sharp ridge at the bottom and I had to heat the ridge down the one side with my wife's hair drier untill it softened just enough so I could close it in for a better grip on the mag. Now it sits as good as the gun itself.
Something that I forgot to mention in the first post is that when I started the competency process about 2 years ago I also stated to slowly change my clothes. The advice to addapt your wardrobe to help carry concealed is given frequently on the forum and I took it to heart and found myself a line of work pants and shirts that I liked and that would work for me.
I lost some weight lately so I had enough space in my pants when I decided to go AIWB.
Then my experience about carrying at work, so far noone at work has noticed anything.
I have a colleague that owns a handgun but doesn't carry and I have another colleague that is in the process of aquiring a handgun. We discuss handguns and carrying daily at work and I have used them as test. While discussing carrying methods I have pointed to my gun while explaining that I am going use the AIWB position and they didnt even notice, so those fears of the first couple of days that everyone will notice the bulge in my pants were groundless.

Re: My expert opinion on EDC after 5 days of carrying
Oh ok. Real question and not sarcasm. So your carry setup is 100% comfortable 100% of the time?
For me it is simple, in some instances such as driving long distances, having to wear formal clothes, going to the beach and wanting to swim, the slight discomfort or schlep in taking it along, I would rather have some discomfort than not carrying at all.
Good holster and good belt minimum requirement is probably the only caveat I would add.
But if anybody has more comfortable options for me I am all ears.
PS: Nice write up from the OP.
