    Making your gun less reliable, harder recoiling and bulkier doesn’t make sense

    If you’re really worried keep quality electronic muffs nearby. But the few rounds your going to fire in a home invasion are really not the end of the world.

    The fascination with supressors on defensive handguns must surely stem from the ideas you can only glean by watching Hollywood-fabricated action movies.

    Reality is very far removed from the above in many different ways. You will not be sneaking around your house popping off the invaders one by one without the others noticing.

    Loud guns shots in your house while you are defending yourself will actually count in your favour, most of the time.

    Rather invest in a good set of "tactical" electronic ear muffs that you can quickly grab when the time comes. That will protect your hearing, while also helping you to detect movement and other sources of noise.
