    It will most likely also work with full moon clips such as used by the S&W 625.

    I which case it would be a really nice gun for IDPA or ICORE...

    Have shot 12 rounds from one of them a few years ago also from a relative. If you have use for it, keep it and use it. The one I shot was smooth and accurate revolver. Reloads was used and they were definitely not loaded close to max specs, but recoil was fine and it was accurate.

    International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts. Its like IPSC (Combat shooting) sort of mixed with steel challenge... More fun than anything you can do with a semi-auto. Its not yet an official "thing" here, but Rooikraal / RSC and JDPC have matches from time to time.

    Come to think of it, Sportshooter had an article a while back about the first match held in Gauteng, I'm sure someone used a 1917 Smith with full-moon clips in that match.

    Those guns were hand fitted and finshed - no production line as we know it today.
