Vortex Crossfire RDS vs Aimpoint H2 for an MSR
I'm looking at putting a micro RDS on my AR. I've searched the forum and see the Aimpoint H series is highly regarded, the Vortex Crossfire can be bought for R2800 (comes with a 1/3 mount) as well as their guarantee and the Aimpoint H2 for R8500 (plus the cost of a mount) is it worth spending the extra money (buy once, cry once analogy) on the Aimpoint or even trying to source a second hand H1? Are there any other red dots out there with a 2 MOA, in between that price bracket that offer a decent quality that I should be looking at?

Re: Vortex Crossfire RDS vs Aimpoint H2 for an MSR
The Aimpoint pricing is off. I would have a hard look at the H1 or H2 before anything else for an AR. Contact Tactical HQ, I picked up an H2 earlier this year on special and the price was the same as I paid for my H1 in 2015!

Vortex Crossfire has been upgraded , improved battery life and NV compatible . Kyle Defoor posted some positive feedback on his page.

If you use the rifle for fun, sports shooting, home defense or such I'd go with Holosun or Vortex, but if used professionally against armed people I'd go with an Aimpoint.

Aimpoint is of course the shizness , and if you can afford it you will not regret it.
If I didn't want to spend Aimpoint Money , Holosun are doing some spectacular things currently.

Re: Vortex Crossfire RDS vs Aimpoint H2 for an MSR
I have a Vortex Crossfire on AK and Holosun HS510C on AR. Both are doing their jobs perfectly, but in my very limited knowledge and experience I do like the Holosun more. Looks and feels like a more premium product.
