Re: Carrying Different rounds in the same mag
I bought Ranger T's for my M&P9 and then got the wife a Shield and with good advice got Hornady critical defense for her, the recoil is better, then got myself a M&P9c
Now both are top notch ammo, I test all ammo in my guns, now the Rangers actually caused failure to feed in my M&P9C, every 3rd round, issue was the feeding ramp and the ammo. The Hornady's works perfect, so now I only carry that in all my guns.
So my first point is to please test all ammo you are using because your life depends on it,
Then I believe that because of the different loads, although they might be JHP, they will cause stoppages, I would advise the person to go and test it and see what happens, but I have a feeling the person has not tested any ammo out of the gun

Re: Carrying Different rounds in the same mag
Now I am really not joking. And also not looking down on people or their guns, but I really thought this thing of different types of ammo in one gun stopped when 5 shot Rossi snubs and their believer owners that it is a serious SD setup started getting modern polymer pistols or stopped telling everyone how to load their safe queen Rossi. Personally don't know anybody anymore that mix rounds in a gun.
(Except myself that was shooting a Mynah today with the .22 and believed the mag is full of sub-sonics but there was 1 HV between them. Ha-ha. Don't know how that happened... Luckily the silencer was outside of the windowframe so the indoor noise levels was fine)

Re: Carrying Different rounds in the same mag
I load a tracer every fourth round, just in case of a luftwaffe night raid

Re: Carrying Different rounds in the same mag
I load a blank as my first round because I want to use the first shot to decide if I really do want to follow through on this action.
I also load a few blanks as the last round or two so that I can do some shooting into the air victory style dancing after I vanquash my enemies.
