Previous firearms ownership as aid to new firearms application ?
Apologies if this has already been posted and answered.
I previously had licenses for a shotgun / hand gun / s / Rifle / SLR
All safely and legally sold.
Does the fact that I owned these firearms without any hassles over a number of years aid in applying for a license for a new firearm ( Hunting Rifle -- rural jurisdiction )
Assistance with actual current situation with regards to above much appreciated.

Not really
Kind of all depends whose desk it ends up on
You could still be denied a handgun application, with the supplied reason being you cannot own a machine gun.
So logic and standards play zero role in apps

Just apply for the licence and motivate according to your intended use. Don't overthink it.
ETA:
Nothing stops you from mentioning your previous use and ownership as example of responsible firearms ownership

I'm not sure how exactly it would help you anyways. I've had licenses go from at CFR to suddenly approved
I've had licenses where the approved monday, card printed wednesday and I collected Friday
The only consistency at CFR is that nothing is consistent
I always say add as much info as you can.
You just submit and motivate each app according to its use, truth is it doesn't get easier the more licenses you have, it just stays the same
