Selling of Firearms

Good day,

I am looking at selling a few firearms and was wondering what is the best way to go about selling them?

Any tips or ideas would be much appreciated.

Decide on price, advertise them, sell them

Decide whether to book them in at dealer (storage fees for buyers account) or if you are going to safekeep them for the new owner until license is approved.

Best is to book them in as some people are really slapgat with paperwork.

Only thing I can add to what has already been said is that if it is something particularly unusual or collectible, it might work out well to send it to Cllassic Arms auction where you will be better exposed to that market. Downside is that you end up paying over some of the money in commission.

Another way is to contact all your friends who owns firearms. Tell them what you have, provide pictures. Perhaps they or someone they know could assist with the sale. If you know the owners of a few hunting farms ask them if they would mind advertising for you.
You could also advertise in the smalls of hunting magazines. Many of them have a service that is free of charge.
