Re: What Distance to Zero
BigT...congrats on your purchase....nice caliber[i think it is the pick of the 7mm litter].
You have a solid background in FA's,it will only take a couple of shots at the range and you will comfortably be shooting to 300m and beyond.
But ja,dont rush things and enjoy.

Re: What Distance to Zero
I am man enough to admit that I am a total girl about recoil.
I can shoot shotgun all day, but hard kicking rifles are too much for me.
I once got to shoot a 470 Nitro. I shot the first round. We checked something, getting ready to shoot the second round, I flinched when I put the safety off :D

Re: What Distance to Zero
You should be more careful not to totally ruin your bad ass reputation here...
A "friend" once invited me to shoot a few shots with his 460 Weatherby. The rifle was a converted Brno ZKK602 with Armtech synthetic stock and factory iron sights, NO BRAKE, and the ammo was Weatherby factory ammo (500gn @ 2600 fps). I blame all my bad shots on the flinch that I picked up there.
