A second one did the same and the owner replaced the trigger with an after-market unit.
Another was a suppressed AR that got so dirty from the blow-back through the barrel that the crud build-up on the sear caused it to act up.
Then there was one that pierced a primer and got a piece of primer cup stuck in the firing pin channel.
Seems like there may be many causes. I'm going to strip it, give it a thorough clean and put a new trigger in it, should solve the problem.

Thats the way to go - a new trigger. On what type etc there a few options, but first be certain for yourself what type you are looking for. Single or double stage, mil spec etc.

Get a new trigger, it’s worth the investment

Cool, thanks for this. Never knew this was such a prevalent issue.

Thank you, I just did the function test like he did in the video and my result was exactly the same. Release quickly nothing happens, release slowly and it fires again.

And if you don't want to spend a couple of k extra for a trigger group, you can fix it as I explained. But it will never be a Timney or a Gizelle but it will be working and close to zero expense.

I just checked the disconnector as you explained but all of its edges is prefectly smooth.

Did you look at the bottom of the disconnector where it rests on the top of the trigger?

If I can figure out how to add a photograph, you'll be able to see where the problem lies. Tegnologies gestremd
