Default What to do with old casings

Privileged that my father gave me his 308. Got license card recently and picked the lady up from Dad. He still had some very old ammunition (must be around 15 years old if not older) but also a few boxes full of empty casings. I'll just have some fun with the old ammunition on the range.

What do I/should I do with the empty casings?

Sorry of this might seem like an extremely stupid question!

If they're reloadable, keep them, buy a reloading set and roll your own.

save all you casings up and sell them when it gets to a substantial amount? Give them to a friend that reloads? Throw them away? Up to you

Ok kewl, thanks, that answers it... I cannot recall anything in the FCA that obliges one to keep less empty casings than a certain amount?

    There isn't.

The point is that it makes no sense to sell just a few at a time.

Understood, just checking if there isn't a maximum or a limit like with live rounds...

Depending on the make you can get couple R for them. Even if old and cracked. Throw in a bag. When you have couple take to scrap place. You get a nice price for Brass p/kg. Hence the reason everyone these days have plastic taps and pipe fittings in front of houses.

Have a look inside to see how many flash holes there are. If there is one you are in business, if there are two small flash holes then dump them as scrap brass.
