    Default Mixing 2 licensed guns

    I have 2 Glock 19s.

    A
    Glock 19 standard configuration.

    B
Glock 19 MOS with threaded barrel. I am running a red dot on this slide.

    Both licensed are sect 16.

I would like to use my MOS slide with my normal non threaded barrel. Ie. Slide of B with barrel of A.

I suppose I would need to always have both licenses with me at all times.

Would this be allowed within the FCA...?

    Thanks.

You legally own both of them.

Carry two cards and all good

Depends primarily which frame/barrel combo it is.

The slide isn't a licensed part

So you saying would be better to keep frame and barrel pared together ?

Keep in mind I am based in SA and I am almost sure a slide is a licensed firearm part here. And so is a frame and a barrel. ...

    You're wrong.

Slides are not licenced. They are controlled. You need a licence for a gun capable of bearing it.

    Wow.

    I really didn't know that.

Does that mean one can buy a slide at a gunshop and take it home straight away? Provided they have a licensed gun which can take that slide ?

    Yes.

Although good luck finding a slide lying on a shelf.

Only if you plan to show one licence.

Prohibition of possession of firearm parts
    94. (1) For purposes of this section, ‘‘firearm part’’means a slide, bolt or breech-block of a firearm.
    (2) No person may possess any firearm part unless he or she—
    (a) holds a licence in respect of a firearm capable of bearing that firearm part;
