If I had that many horse flies I would nuke the site from orbit, and still leave the galaxy just to be sure.
Horseflies are living proof that alien life exists.

Naming can be confusing, in Afrikaans we call it a perdevlieg but apparently a horsefly in English is something else and these are called louse flies, which makes sense because they are lousy. However, I am not an expert on insects so I might be wrong as far as the name is concerned, which does not make them any less lousy.

Horse and perd fly/vlieg is the way the farmers have always called this insect. The wording above was found on Google.
