Another Competency validity/renewal question
My competency card is for both rifle and handgun. I is on one card. (No expiry date is recorded on it)
My Rifle Licenses are Sec 15 and expire in 10 years.
My handgun license is for Sec 13 and expires in 5 years.
As I understand my competency card will be valid as long as the corresponding firearm license is valid. So....
I am now not exactly sure when what will expire and when do I need to renew what...

Re: Another Competency validity/renewal question
A comp is valid for the same period as the licence to which it relates...
The competencies relate to different firearm platforms - you'll need to renew your handgun comp, as I see it.

Re: Another Competency validity/renewal question
I dont know if The DFO's have their own interpretation, but in 2018 I renewed several firearms (Rifles) and had to renew competency as well. This was notwithstanding that I bought a rifle in 2012. In Dec 2019 I renewed a shotgun and no competency renewal was done.
