    Default What the call center message at CFR mean

    1. "All our consultants are busy, your call will me answered ... "

    This means - " Nobody here gets paid enough to answer phones. Hold for 11 minutes and we'll quietly drop the call."

    2. "If your application is outstanding for more than 19 working days, send us an email ... "

    This means - " We have no idea when our mail system will come online again, or who has access to the mailboxes. Try again in 2030."

    Hit and miss with CFR call centre - have held on for 11 plus and been dropped but also pickup on minute 1.
    Cannot comment on emails though - I'd hate to see that inbox

    I usually call at about 6h30am, call gets picked up after a few seconds. Never had an issue.

    call on Sunday mornings, they really sound like they appreciate being given something to do, usually there's no wait

    Remember that number isn't only used for us citizens with outstanding licences. It's also used to report crimes and for other stuff like liquor licences, if I'm not mistaken. I can only imagine that thing gets hit like CRAZY during the day. As others mentioned, I usually call early morning, around 06:00.

    The voice recording specifies logging firearms requests by email and provides an email address.

    I can believe that people are busy during the day and can't get to all the calls, but surely the quiet hours while "appreciating being given something to do" is the ideal time to reply to emails.

    Call at night before going to bed. They answer right away.

    My call was answered at 11:00 AM on Saturday.

    It only took two full weeks to get hold of someone.

    You sure it does not say 90 Working Days.

    I phoned Dischem last week. And wanted to speak to the Clinic side. Get voice answer. Says you are nr 12 in queue should take like 5minutes. Then goes on and on until you are nr1 in queue and then just goes engaged tone.

    I phoned 3 times. Same thing happens every single time. Then at start of call selected reception. And they just say must choose clinic extension.

    Even send an email to customer care. Had no response so far.

    So seems a person gets same service as CFR gives even at a company like Dischem.
