Beginning on October 27, 1787 the Federalist Papers were first published in the New York press under the signature of "Publius". These papers are generally considered to be one of the most important contributions to political thought made in America. The essays appeared in book form in 1788, with an introduction by Hamilton. Subsequently they were printed in many editions and translated to several languages. The pseudonym "Publius" was used by three man: Jay, Madison and Hamilton. Jay was responsible for only a few of the 85 articles. The papers were meant to be influential in the campaign for the adoption of the Constitution by New York State. But the authors not only discussed the issues of the constitution, but also many general problems of politics.

I also suggest reading the Book Common Sense by Thomas Paine it can be read here for free http://www.gutenberg.org/files/147/147-h/147-h.htm

The purpose of our Republic was to protect individual liberty from all threats both domestic and abroad. Sadly we've strayed from those ideals, but not all of us. And luckily we're still well armed.
Very ironically, as in Messor's post, we have mob democracy, Messor often comments on the state of the country and how things are going, he's a man of culture and insight in our country and current position.

That's what our founding fathers tried to avoid, and what we're trying still trying to avoid. The culture war in the West is heating up. In the United States the Democrat Party's leading Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is basically a communist. Their euphemism for the communism they admire is democratic socialism. Sanders would like to move us towards mob democracy.

I don't think he'll win. But the Overton window has moved decidedly leftist for a large segment of Democrat Party.

Oh, and I prefer to call them leftist since they are not liberal. Not in the classical sense of that word. They coopted the terms liberal and progressive to describe themselves to mask what they really are, which is authoritarians and would be tyrants.

Spot on, communism is absolutism masquerading as a secular religion. Do a few evil deeds and eventually a paradise like society will come. The interview with one of Bernie's staffers was telling in that they fantasize about brutalizing those not on their side. Pretty much the same thoughts that the neo-nazis expose when they dream of rope day, just the way there is a bit different.

I don't think you are correct.
Your founding fathers seemed like....men of note.
    They weren't sheep.

On human nature that doesn't change: Jeff Cooper said something like this:"Abraham would have been astonished at electricity, but he wouldn't bat an eyelid at communism. He has seen it."

The US is in the beginnings of a repeat of the 30 years war in Europe. 'If you don't the 30 years war read Der Wehrwolf or The Warwolf. Warwolf is the english version.' Everything is divided into factions now; culture, religion, politics, race etc.

If a democrat president is elected in Nov. it will accelerate very quickly.

I listened to his victory speech after the Nevada caucus. He is a radical communist, and basically ANTIFA's candidate. I doubt he wins. But should he manage to win, and should he manage to get even a quarter of what he said during that speech done, which I kind of doubt he could do without disbanding congress, the senate, and the supreme court, there would be war. He makes Barack Obama look like Ronald Reagan.

He'll, lose in a landslide in the general. Look on the bright side he's an old coot who has advanced cardiovascular disease, there's a good chance he could drop dead during one of his rallies. After which he'll go to wherever Marx, Lenin, Staline, Moa, Pol Pot, Castro, and Chavez are now.

Message from the British and Australian citizens.

Feminine democracy prefers safety and security over liberty.
